Ultrasonic Technologies Sells second RUV system to Bloom Energy
Ultrasonic Technologies Inc., has sold its state of the art Resonance Ultrasonic Vibrations (RUV) Crack Detection System to Bloom Energy, a CA-based company that provides breakthrough solid oxide fuel cell technology to generate clean, highly-efficient power onsite.
Ultrasonic Technologies Inc., is an international innovative designer and manufacturer of precision tools and quality control systems for solar cells and other energy technologies as well as electronic and integrated circuit industries. UST has sold its state of the art Resonance Ultrasonic Vibrations Crack Detection System to Bloom Energy, Inc., a Sunnyvale, CA based company that provides breakthrough solid oxide fuel cell technology to generate clean, highly-efficient power onsite.
The unit ordered is RUV 2.2 crack detection system and is a second RUV system order by Bloom Energy. The first RUV 2.2 tool was installed in September 2010 and passed factory and site acceptance high volume tests and validation protocol.
“This is an important milestone for Ultrasonic Technologies as the company expands its quality control systems outside the solar manufacturing, into green peer energy markets (fuel cells manufacturing)” said Dr. Sergei Ostapenko, Ultrasonic Technologies President and CEO.
